’7 Sins’ at MCCC

Many of you may have gathered that in addition to his work with Elixir, company co-founder Jody P. Person also serves as the Theatre and Dance Program Coordinator at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, New Jersey.

Mercer’s upcoming production of 7 Sins features Jody’s choreography in a dance/performance collage inspired by the sin of wrath. The show also features contributions from Elixir co-founder Alex DeFazio (as Sound Designer for the evening and Dramaturg for “Tyler and the Seven-Legged Lamb,” inspired by the sin of gluttony), Elixir actor and former Mercer student Josiah DeAndrea (author of the short play “Acedia’s Sunshine,” inspired by sloth), and dozens of current Mercer theatre and dance students as well as visual artists. It’s going to be a fantastic show and we invite all our NJ brethren to come out and play. Whether you’re into sloth, envy, pride, lust, greed, gluttony, or wrath, 7 Sins has something for everyone!

7 Sins performs Fridays and Saturdays, November 9, 10, 16, and 17 at 8:00pm, with a 2:00pm matinee performance on Sunday, November 18. All performances take place at The Kelsey Theatre on the Mercer County Community College campus (1200 Old Trenton Road / West Windsor, NJ 08550).
